Alan Winston
Born February, 1950, in Hood River, Oregon.
Grew up in Portland, Oregon; Lake Stevens, Lake Forest Park, and
Edmonds, Washington.
Attended Shorecrest HS, Case Institute of Technology, University of
Washington.
US Army service at Fort Lewis, Washington; Fort Meyer, Virginia; Fort
Gordon, Georgia; Bremerhaven and Helmstedt, Germany; Fort Indiantown
Gap, Pennsylvania;
The Presidio of San Francisco, California, and Fort Lawton, Washington.
Resident of Seattle (where my father and grandmother were born), since
1972.
Very happily married to Jo since 1984. Raised two
stepdaughters (Kathryn & Eliza), both now grown and married.
In 2003, took early retirement with a neurological/pyschological
disability, after a career in computer technical support and consulting.
