Roquat

The Nome King, ruler of the underground world and all of its Nomes and riches. A malevolent, devious, and treacherous creature who is defeated by Dorothy and her friends in their first encounter by the use of Billina's eggs, since eggs are poisonous to Nomes. Dorothy captures his Magic Belt in this encounter. aka: Roquat of the Rocks; Roquat the Red. (See also Ruggedo.)
